Key facts

  • A double-ended car ferry divides the map through the center
  • Water gaps of roughly 3.5 to 5.5 meters require a squid-form jump
  • Falling into the water splats you instantly
  • Three lanes: the Long Pier, the Fuel Dock and the Boatyard

Halyard Marina is INKWAVE’s water stage, and the water is the point. A car ferry is moored across the middle of the map, splitting it into three routes: the Long Pier on the right, the Fuel Dock through the center, and the Boatyard on the left. Its side corridors are 1.7 meters wide, and its sun deck and wheelhouse give the ferry’s owner commanding views.

Between the docks are water gaps of roughly 3.5 to 5.5 meters, too wide to run across and too important to ignore. Crossing means inking a runway, diving into squid form and jumping; falling in splats you instantly and hands the middle to the other team.

Each lane plays differently. The Long Pier is a charger’s lane with long sightlines and a houseboat whose roof only squid form can reach. The Boatyard hides a tug on blocks, which serves as flank high ground. The Fuel Dock controls the gangway onto the ferry itself.

Halyard rewards teams that treat the water as a road rather than a wall.
