Tidewater Plaza

Tidewater Plaza is a sun-bleached harbor plaza and INKWAVE's most open stage, built around a central tower with water notches along both sides.

Key facts

  • Open central plaza with a 2.8-meter climbable tower
  • Container stacks and a kiosk provide cover on the flanks
  • Side decks are split by a water notch you must jump
  • Playable at day and at dusk

Tidewater Plaza is the stage INKWAVE opens on, and it teaches the game’s geometry. A 2.8-meter tower stands in the middle of an open plaza, flanked by container stacks and a kiosk. The high ground is obvious and contested, and the open ground around it means whoever holds the tower can see most of the map.

The sides are where fights are won. Each lane ends in a side deck split by a water notch, so crossing costs a squid-form jump or a longer route through the middle. Wooden crates give close-range weapons a way to approach the tower without being seen.

For turf players, the plaza’s wide open floor is a gift; for chargers, the tower is. Expect the first minute of a match to be a race for the middle.

The stage plays at both day and dusk, with the dusk lighting turning the harbour gold.
